上周五，米德尔顿荣光高中举办了一年一度的学年颁奖典礼暨夏日音乐会。此次盛会不仅是对过去一学年在各方面取得成就的同学们的表彰，也是MCJ校园里各路音乐大能的展示。

Myddelton College Jinhua (MCJ) held its annual Awards Ceremony & Summer Concert. This grand event was not only a recognition of the students' outstanding achievements over the past academic year but also a showcase of the school's musical talents, filled with joy and beautiful melodies.

音乐会的演出节目丰富多彩，涵盖了钢琴、架子鼓、声乐、长号等多种乐器的表演。学生们和音乐老师们同台献艺，用他们的才华和热情为观众们带来了一场视听盛宴。

The concert featured a variety of performances, including piano, drums, vocals, and trombone, performed by both students and music teachers. Their talent and passion brought a delightful audio-visual feast to the audience.

在颁奖典礼上，John Higgs校长发表了学年演讲。他回顾了过去一个学年与同学们共度的美好时光，见证了他们的努力和进步，尤其是在沟通能力上的提升。他对同学们取得的成就表示骄傲，并期待他们在即将到来的新学年中继续努力，取得更大的成功。Higgs校长还强调了学校在新学年中的一系列改进和发展计划，包括新食堂的开放、新舞蹈室和音乐练习室的启用，以及全新体育设施的建设等。

During the awards ceremony, Headmaster John Higgs delivered his annual speech. He reflected on the past nine months spent with the students, witnessing their hard work and progress, particularly in their communication skills. He expressed pride in their achievements and looked forward to their continued efforts and success in the upcoming academic year. Headmaster Higgs also highlighted a series of improvements and developments for the new academic year, including the opening of a new canteen, a new dance studio, music practice rooms, and the construction of new sports facilities. 

此外，学生代表宁梓宪以及MCJ2023届毕业生、现就读于剑桥大学的傅方孺学长也进行了发言。他们分享了自己的学习经验和成长心得，激励在校学生们继续努力，追求卓越。

Additionally, student representative Ning Zixian and MCJ 2023 graduate, current Cambridge University student Angelo Russo also delivered speeches. They shared their learning experiences and growth insights, encouraging current students to strive for excellence.

2023-2024学年颁奖典礼的奖项由各类学术学科奖项、学校表现奖项、以及活动奖项共同构成，以表彰在校园生活各个方面表现优异、进步显著以及积极进取的各位同学。由各位学科老师、个人导师、生活管理与学院指导老师来共同决定将奖项颁发给相应的同学。

The awards for the 2023-2024 academic year ceremony consist of various academic subject awards, school performance awards, and activity awards, which aim to recognize outstanding performance, significant progress, and proactive attitudes in all aspects of campus life by our students. The recipients of these awards are determined by subject teachers, personal mentors, and residential advisors who collectively decide which students will receive the respective awards.

颁奖典礼上，还特别为刚刚结束的MCJ科学展获奖同学进行了颁奖，表彰他们在科学领域的出色表现和创新精神。科学展展示了学生们的创造力和科学探究能力，获奖同学的项目也获得了评委和观众的一致好评。

Special awards were also presented to the winners of the recently concluded MCJ Science Fair, celebrating their exceptional performance and innovative spirit in the field of science. The science fair showcased students' creativity and scientific inquiry skills, and the winning projects received unanimous praise from judges and the audience.

一路走来，MCJ不断蜕变、不断成熟，我们也将为MCJ大家庭的所有成员提供更好的学习、工作和生活环境，在这里收获最好的自己。祝全体师生假期愉快，享受一个灿烂的夏天！
